Guess who's speaking to a bunch of smarty-pants?
Today I received an invitation that's left me speechless
Write a book, they say. It'll bring you authority and you'll look like an expert, they say.
Today I was invited to speak at the 2025 Mensa National Convention, held in Chicago.
MENSA.
Of course, this speaker has been speechless all day. Or, I should say, I've tried to speak, but all that's come out has been gibberish.
Why did they think I'd be capable of presenting to individuals from around the world who've tested in the 98th percentile?
Because I wrote a book.
The director of programming was so impressed with Living Landmarks of Chicago, he invited me to speak.
SQUEEEEE!!!!!
I'm seriously in shock over this, and so very, very, happy.
(And thinking maybe it's time to pursue speaking gigs. Every single one of them has come to me.)
SOMEBODY PINCH ME! Or don't, because I like this dream.
